Paranoia builds in the new trailer for The Witch

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been over two years since we first heard rumblings of THE WITCH, rumblings that got much louder when the film rattled audiences at its Sundance premiere last January. Now we're just one month away from the film's theatrical release, and distributor A24 has unleashed a new trailer that gives viewers a minute long taste of the mounting terror and paranoia they will experience when they go to see the movie.

Starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, and Kate Dickie, THE WITCH tells the story of

a family in 1630s New England that is torn apart by the forces of witchcraft, black magic and possession.

Robert Eggers made his feature directorial debut with this film, and pulled it off so well that he won a Best Director award for it at Sundance.

THE WITCH will cast its spell in theatres on February 19th.
