Participant in eco-horror

This here news is about as brief and as ambiguous as it gets: Participant Media has set up eco-horror tale “The Colony,” based on a pitch by Stacy Title and Jonathan Penner.

That’s all Variety is reporting on THE COLONY this morning: it’s set up through Participant Media, and it’s a tale of “eco-horror,” whatever the hell that means. We talkin’ eco-horror like THE HAPPENING, or something more along the lines of THE RUINS (killer plants)? I don’t know, all I have to work with here is that it’s “eco-horror.” Oh the possibilities…

So with nothing else to go on about here, other than to say THE COLONY could be referring to a group of hippies in the forest of a horde of giant killer bees, I think that’s about all I got. Stick around for any sort of update or bone thrown our way about THE COLONY, as I’m sure there will be more information leaked about it in the near future… maybe.
