Patrick Wilson, Jessica Biel, Imogen Poots join Andy Goddard’s The Blunderer

Patrick Wilson is about to find himself in a cutie sandwich in an untitled psychological thriller from director Andy Goddard. Jessica Biel (pictured above) and Imogen Poots (pictured below) will play his wife and “the other woman” in his life, respectively, so it’s pretty good to be Patrick Wilson right about now.

Based on the novel by legendary crime author Patricia Highsmith, THE BLUNDERER, is story is set against a backdrop of early 1960s New York and follows…

Walter Stackhouse (Wilson), a successful architect married to the beautiful Clara (Biel) and leading a charmed and perfect life. But his fascination with an unsolved murder leads him into a spiral of chaos as he is forced to play cat-and-mouse with a clever killer (Jones) and an over-ambitious detective. Walter’s obsession, his lies and his lust for another woman (Poots) will collide in a crush of guilt, innocence and, ultimately, fate.

Toby Jones will play the killer. He is not part of the cutie sandwich mentioned above.

The film, which is actually untitled right now – unless they do go with THE BLUNDERER – Killer Films’ Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa, along with Ted Hope and Sierra Pictures will produce the psychological thriller. Sierra Pictures will finance the film, which will be a presence at the Cannes Film Market this month.
