Looks like the rumors were true, director of MONSTER Patty Jenkins will be helming the THOR sequel.
As I said before, it’s certainly an inspired choice. I have to wonder who decided to bring her in on the project or if she was interested. Jenkins has yet to do a film with heavy action. Not to say that chicks aren’t capable, cause they are.

I’m pretty up in the air when it comes to my thoughts on this. Jenkins did a great job on MONSTER. She also did directing work on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and THE KILLING. Eh, nothing else to do but remain optimistic.
Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston will reprise their roles for the second installment due to release November 15, 2013.
