Pee Wee says Tim Burton is secretly working on Nightmare Before Christmas 2?!

We’re only a few hours away from 2011 and I’ve just come across a piece of news that should send us into the new year with a smile on our face.

Did you guys know Tim Burton is secretly working on a sequel to the Henry Selick directed THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS? Huh, did you?! Well neither did I. Apparently Paul Reubens did though! Dread Central just got word that during a recent interview to hype the finale of his broadway show, Paul ‘Pee Wee Herman’ Reubens let loose the fact that Burton is working on a NIGHTMARE sequel! When asked if he’d like to work with Burton again, Reubens (who worked with the director on PEE WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE and the first NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS) said he would love to but it seemed unlikely thanks to Burton’s busy schedule, this is where Reubens mentioned NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS 2 among other films including DARK SHADOWS.

So obviously this whole thing is pretty thin but it’s still fun to think about right? What do you guys think? Would you guys dig another journey to Halloweentown?
