Well here’s an odd bird!
Billed as Pee Wee’s Playhouse meets NIGHT OF THE LVING DEAD, we just scored the teaser-trailer to John Skipp’s 3D-zombie-puppet-musical, aka ROSE. Unsubtly sarcastic, yet dripping with grue…here’s a light-hearted horror joint for those who can’t stomach the solemn. Take a peek below to see what kind of flick we’re dealing with…
Starring David Fine and Chase McKenna (below) – ROSE is a super-hot, hilarious ex-mental patient with a cable access puppet show in downtown LA. But now it’s 48 hours into the zombie apocalypse so she’s running rescue stations and musical numbers round the clock, trying to keep people’s hope alive…and periodically pausing to pulverize the skulls of the zombies trying to bust down her door.
Sounds like a bloody good time, no? And with Skipp’s 20 year involvement with tongue-in-cheek-horror (dude wrote A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 5: DREAM CHILD), ROSE should bloom into something entertaining if nothing else.
Until we lace a release date…give the Official Site for the film a looksie!
