So the Spike Video Game Awards were on Saturday night, but I was too busy watching American Ninja Warrior on G4 partying with hot chicks to care. They debuted a few cool things, but most relevant to the film world is this PRINCE OF PERSIA clip, which features a few brief moments of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it new footage, but most of the segment features just how STOKED Jake Gyllenhaal is for the film.
As of yet, I’m still not sold on the project either way, but it is nice to see someone throwing a mountain of cash at a video game project for once. Hopefully this is a trend that continues to when they start making films based on really well-written games. Looking at you, MASS EFFECT.
