Peter Jackson reveals there will be nothing from The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug at Comic-Con this year

A new production video blog was posted on Peter Jackson‘s facebook page this afternoon with some rather said news. As you already know from the title of this article, there will be nothing from THE HOBBIT: DESOLATION OF SMAUG at this year’s Comic-Con.

Jackson said that unfortunately there was no time to get anything together due to the fact that they are still shooting and will still be doing so throughout the time of Con. He thought that they could possibly send some of the actors down for a panel but because of the same reason couldn’t do that either. A sizzle reel could not be put together either because Jackson would want it to be good but in order to do that would have to take time away from the flick which he didn’t want to do. The director’s focus is on finishing the second film and making it worthy for the fans.

As you will see in this awesome production video (definitely worth the 10-minute watch), the actors all came back to do some pick-ups for the film. The behind the scenes stuff is quite cool and has a hilarious part having to do with Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly riding a mechanical horse.

THE HOBBIT: DESOLATION OF SMAUG hits theaters December 13th, 2013.
