Pluto returns (kinda)

Alex Aja’s remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES was a breath of fresh air for those fans looking to see an update to the classic yet dated original, and with the news a little while back that Wes Craven was already working on the remake’s sequel (which would be vastly superior to the original’s sequels), that fresh air just got that much sweeter.

Late yesterday, the Dread Central boys reported that a “very reliable source” told them that Michael Bailey Smith (aka Pluto) would be returning for the sequel, though not as Pluto. Rather, Smith would assume the role of family leader!

Couple that with the fact that DEATHWATCH/WILDERNESS director Michael J. Bassett is in talks to direct the film, it’s only looking better for the sequel, which is scheduled to star shooting this September in Morocco. Obviously, more info will be coming in before then, so stick around.
