Polaroid finally hits next month

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

For those of you that may have forgotten over the years, director Lars Klevberg's teen horror movie POLAROID was shot BEFORE his recent remake of CHILD'S PLAY. But the movie never saw the light of day due to all the shit that fell onto the heads of The Weinstein Company last year.

But it looks like all the legal mumbo-jumbo has been cleared up as today we have word that Vertical Entertainment will be releasing POLAROID into selective theaters and On-Demand next month. You can check out a new trailer for the movie below.

Back in August 2017 (yeah, you read that right) the MPAA slapped the film with a PG-13 rating for "violence/terror, thematic elements, brief strong language, some teen drinking, and drug material."

The film follows

High school loner Bird Fitcher, who has no idea what dark secrets are tied to the mysterious vintage Polaroid camera she stumbles upon. But it doesn’t take long to discover that those who have their picture taken meet a tragic end.

Lars Klevberg directs the flick from a screenplay written by Blair Butler (HELL FEST). Produced by Roy Lee and Chris Bender, the movie features Kathryn Prescott, Tyler Young, Grace Zabriskie, and Mitch Pileggi. The film finally hits select theaters and On-Demand on September 17, 2019

Okay, all of those updates out of the way, let's be truthful here for a minute. Even if you were once upon a time excited to see this teen horror-thriller, are you still? I mean those peeps who were looking forward to the movie must have graduated onto more adult content by this point in their lives, right? But whatever, if you are one of these people, make sure to hit us up and let us know if you still plan to check out the movie in theaters below!
