It’s the Scots vs the Brits in WHITE SETTLERS, a new home invasion thriller starring Pollyanna McIntosh (THE WOMAN) which pits some unlucky Londoners against grudge-holding Scottish home invaders. Though it doesn’t appear to tread any new ground (basically looks like YOU’RE NEXT meets THE STRANGERS), the Simeon Halligan-directed film certainly seems to bring the goods in terms of suspense and bloodshed. Check out the trailer below.

The synopsis:

It’s Ed and Sarah’s first night at their new home — an isolated farmhouse on the Scottish borders. This should be a new beginning away from their stressful London lives. And at first it is; come sunset they fall in love all over again on a wander in the woods. But as darkness falls, Sarah suspects they’re not alone, Ed goes to investigate and quickly, the evening becomes a nightmare. It suddenly dawns on them; they do not belong here. And they certainly aren’t welcome either…

WHITE SETTLERS hits FrightFest this August on its way to a UK theatrical release in September. We’ll keep you posted on additional release details when they come in.
