Portman & Aronofsky

JoBloJoBlo

Director Darren Aronofsky (THE WRESTLER) has been looking for a home for BLACK SWAN, a supernatural thriller set in the world of New York City ballet. That shouldn’t be too difficult now that it comes in a sexy package.

Natalie Portman has added her considerable attraction to the project, described as a spine-tingler in the vein of THE OTHERS. In the movie, Portman would play a veteran ballerina competing with a rival dancer who might be a spirit or a figment of her imagination. Spoiler?

Aronofsky is still involved with a remake of ROBOCOP — in fact, io9 recently asked MGM for a status update, and learned that the script is still being hammered and soldered. The update of Paul Verhoeven’s
classic sci-fi satire is now planned for a 2011 release. Bitches leave.
