What’s your take on low-budget zombie flicks? There’s no doubt the end result can go either way… For example: The original NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is certainly the be-all end-all of low-budget zombie movies… and it’s awesome. Then there’s films like the DAY OF THE DEAD remake, which didn’t even need to be low budget to suck. So when there’s talk of a low-budget zombie flick heading our way you can bet your ass we’re going to check it out!
The flick I’m talking about today is called PORTRAIT OF A ZOMBIE and a teaser trailer for the film just popped up over at it’s official website. I’ve gone ahead and thrown that shite up in our videos section so you can just scroll down below to check it out.
Now what exactly is PORTRAIT OF A ZOMBIE? Here’s the skinny: When son, Billy, becomes a zombie the family chooses to take care of him in the home much to the chagrin of the neighbors and the local crime boss. Because zombie neighbors affect the mafia’s everyday workings I’m sure. Needless to say PORTRAIT OF A ZOMBIE looks like it’s geared up to be a little… different. And that’s far from a bad thing. See for yourself below!
PORTRAIT OF A ZOMBIE comes from writer/director Bing Bailey and stars Rory Mullen, Patrick Murphy, Gerry Shanahan, Tom O’Sullivan and Diane Jennings. I’ve tossed some stills up for the film below. Head over to it’s official Facebook page for a lot more. No word on any sort of release yet for PORTRAIT so be sure to keep it here for updates as we hear them!
