So we just snared a press release for a flick that recently wrapped called LOCKED IN A ROOM, written and directed by Larry Simmons. It’s a claustrophobic torture picture made on the relative cheap in Detroit, Michigan (under $5 million). If you feel so inclined, scroll below for a plot synopsis, cast rundown and promo poster for this sumbitch!

Produced by At Risk Entertainment and Collective Development Inc., LOCKED IN A ROOM shapes up like this:

Money disappears, a death occurs, then… three people find themselves trapped in three separate rooms. They are watched by a masked man and mentally tortured by a voice heard inside the room. As the puzzle unfolds, the three victims uncover why they were chosen for this crazy game. Inside the madness, the search reveals that the answers lie in the past.

It seems we’ve seen a lot of these kinds of flicks lately, where strangers are thrown in a room (or three) together, and with fatal consequences, must figure out why they are there and how to escape safely. Just ask our man Walkuski about how rad NINE DEAD was!

LOCKED IN A ROOM stars Rae’Ven Larrymore Kelly, Ayanna Fullilove (below), Robert Miano, Carlucci Weyant, DJ Perry, Anthony Hornus, Dean Teaster, Curtis Hall, Tammy Stephens Teaster, Robert Bradley and Mella Barnes.

WorldWide Film Entertainment is signed to rep the film on the world stage, starting at the Cannes Film Market 2010.

Until we lock more, tell us what you think thus far about LOCKED IN A ROOM!
