Yesterday saw the first character poster for MAN OF STEEL, showing off ol' Papa Jor-El (Russell Crowe) with a big-ass Kryptonian gun and now we have an update with two more character shots, featuring the MAN OF STEEL himself, Superman (Henry Cavill), and his arch nemesis, Zod (Michael Shannon). Pretty cool overall, but at this stage of the game I'm primed for the big show. I feel like we just got the big speech from the coach in the locker room and we're all amped up on Gatorade and ready to charge the field and stomp some ass. So, yeah. That's where I'm at with MAN OF STEEL.

Next up is two new posters for Edgar Wright's THE WORLD'S END, starring his Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy boys Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine, with the addition of the lovely Rosamund Pike. I'm an unabashed fan of Wright's and this looks like the usual awesomeness he delivers, so I'll raise my pint to this one and happily cheer on its release. The end of the world can't come soon enough.

MAN OF STEEL soars into theaters on June 14, 2013 and THE WORLD'S END starts the crawl on August 23, 2013.
