Pretty Little Liar Shay Mitchell to star in Cadaver

The actresses from the television series Pretty Little Liars seem to be getting drawn to the horror genre one-by-one. Lucy Hale was in SCREAM 4, Ashley Benson in RATTER, Troian Bellisario in the remake of MARTYRS, and now their fellow PLL star Shay Mitchell has signed on to take the lead role in director Diederik Van Rooijen's CADAVER.

Mitchell will be playing

a disgraced ex-cop and recovering addict who must take a graveyard shift at the morgue in the hospital where she got sober. She begins to witness terrorizing and violent murders shortly after a mysterious and brutally massacred body is delivered to the morgue.

Sounds like it has the potential to be a very solid thriller. Having the lead work in a morgue is a good way to unnerve viewers right from the start.

CADAVER is set up at Screen Gems and is being produced by Sean Robins and Todd Garner for Broken Road Productions. Brian Sieve wrote the screenplay.

When it comes to being cast in horror films, Sasha Pieterse is now the last hold out of the Pretty Little Liars. When is she going to get her genre film?
