As much as we love women in horror, the predominent creative forces behind the genre tend to be men. That’s why it’s always great to see some attention being focused on the estrogen laced talent at play. Right now the folks at Pretty-Scary.net and GenghisCon are teaming up to honor outstanding women in the indie horror scene.

Just make sure you get them in before the cutoff date of June 30th. The winners get to screen at the festival, and also receive free passes to the event and a certificate of recognition. No cashola at play, but awareness is key to distribution in this game so no telling what opportunities could result.
