Certain elements of a title are pretty much guaranteed to catch my attention. Anything with naughty, vixen, nun, or bloodbath is going to catch my eye. So it should be no surprise that as soon as I heard about PSYCHO CHEERLEADERS, I had to know more.
The flick is set to start shooting in Somerset and Cambria Counties, Pennsylvania the first week of August. So let me tell ya what it’s all about:
Teased, mocked and degraded all his life, Lloyd Dickey suddenly realizes his sad life can get a whole lot worse after a spell intended to make him popular goes terribly awry and instead turns the St. Ralph’s Cheerleading squad into flesh-eating monsters. As they wreak havoc on the town, it’s up to a rag tag group of nerds and dorks to save the day or die trying.
In addition to that sweet description, keep in mind this little project is brought to us by the silly bastards over at Crazy Ralph Films who were responsible for the overlooked gem POOR WHITE TRASH.
And you know I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t give you a picture of a cheerleader at the bottom of this story.
