“Somebody say sequels?”
I’m a big fan of Stan Winston’s criminally underrated
PUMPKINHEAD and was mucho let down by Jeff Burr’s tepid follow
up! Now we got two more sequels on the way: Jake West’s PUMPKINHEAD
PART 3 (ASHES TO ASHES) and Mike Hurst’s PART 4 (LOVE HURTS).
Both are presently shooting back to back in Romania with Part 4 starring
Doug “Pinhead” Bradley and seeing the return of Lance Henriksen as
the ghost of Ed Harley, his character from the original. Good old
Fango scored a
first look at two stills off the film and I
can’t say I’m blown away by the creature design.
Hopefully its an “on set pic”
and that West’s keen visuals will make it look more like the Pumpkinhead of old
(see above) as opposed to the McFarland doll staring me down from my
desk.
