The Spanish-language “first-person” horror flick [REC] hasn’t even been officially released yet in the US, but the Hollywood remake QUARANTINE is already almost upon us.
Screen Gems’ flick follows a news crew trapped in an LA apartment building when a nasty virus breaks out, turning the residents into bloodthirsty beasts. As it’s done in the queasy-cam style of CLOVERFIELD and BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, hope you have a strong stomach and resistance to vertigo.
The update stars DEXTER tomboy Jennifer Carpenter, Jay Hernandez and Jonathon Schaech, and was written and shakily directed by THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES guys John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle. Here’s the new poster for the flick, hitting theaters in the prime horror season of October.
