Rambo Returns?

It looks like John Rambo may have a couple rounds left in his machine gun after all! Ammon last reported to you HERE that nothing had been set in stone whether another RAMBO would or would not get made. However we’ve now heard through a recent interview, that Sly Stallone has stated that he IS in fact writing a fifth adventure for the franchise. Here’s what the man in the red bandana had to say:

“I would like to take Rambo to another genre, experiment a little with the character. It would definitely not be another war movie, ’cause I can’t go any further with that than what I’ve already done. What it’s going to be like I’m not going to reveal at this point. But I’m already halfway though writing the manuscript.”

Now, I know the general consensus regarding this past January’s fourth Rambo was that it ended on an ideal note, thus annihilating the need for another sequel. But YOU try telling that to a man with a machete the size of Ron Jeremy’s, uh… you know! Personally, I have no qualms with part 5 taking Rambo in a new, non-war direction. As long as it’s not RAMBO IN SPACE, I’m there!

Sly saved Julie Benz’s ass in RAMBO.
