Raw director Julia Ducournau’s next film Titane picked up by Neon

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Writer-director Julia Ducournau’s RAW is hands-down one of the best horror movies of the past 5 years. A must-see if there was one. And today we hear that Neon has snatched up North American rights to Ducournau’s new fright flick TITANE. The new film's plot is being kept under wraps and no casting has yet to be announced at this time. Wa, wa. But that said, we do know this new flick is being produced by Jean Christophe Reymond of Kazak Productions. So, you know, that SOMETHING.

Neon said in a statement today:

Raw was one of the most earth-shattering debut films in recent memory, and we’ve been waiting for Julia’s next film ever since.

Again, RAW is one of the best genre movies to come out of France (or any country for that matter) in the past 5 years – if not more. But beware those of you that haven't had the joy of watching the movie yet, it is super graphic and will surely turn the stomachs of the uninitiated. But if you can handle your fair share of graphic gore and nasty nonsense, then make sure to check out RAW ASAP!

For those who might not know, RAW follows:

Stringent vegetarian Justine (Garance Marillier) encounters a decadent, merciless and dangerously seductive world during her first week at veterinary school. Desperate to fit in, she strays from her principles and eats raw meat for the first time. The young woman soon experiences terrible and unexpected consequences as her true self begins to emerge.

Julia Ducournau wrote and directed RAW while Jean de Forêts served as the film's producer. Garance Marillier starred in the movie along with Ella Rumpf and Laurent Lucas. If for some reason you have yet to watch the film, you can go ahead and snag a copy on Blu-ray right over HERE.
