I’m definitely intrigued by THE VOICES – the movie starring Ryan Reynolds as a man whose cat tells him to murder women – but this new poster for the flick is an absolute atrocity. Everything about it is a photoshop nightmare; like why is Reynolds’ face airbrushed to the point where he looks about 12-years-old? Even that tagline – “Hearing voices can be murder” – stinks to high heaven.
Thankfully, the trailer we brought you last week makes the film look a little more promising.
THE VOICES is a genre-bending film which centers around Jerry, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden turn, we follow Jerry’s perspective as his talking pets, a sinister cat and benevolent dog, lead him down a fantastical, murderous path.
Also starring Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton and Jacki Weaver, THE VOICES hits theaters and VOD on February 6th.
