Neil Marshall’s horror masterpiece THE
DESCENT opens in August 2006
via LG. The film tells the tale of a group of adrenaline junkie gals meeting up
with “horror”and the darkness that can be the human heart on their latest caving
expedition. I know that on paper, it sounds a lot like the lackluster
THE CAVE (which was shot after THE DESCENT incidentally).
But trust me when I say this, THE DESCENT is EASILY a superior, better
rounded, scarier, deeper and a way more mature effort than THE CAVE! Word on the
street is that the US release will have new a ending to it (which scares me as I
loved the old ending). We’ll see! For now, check out them pics!
