Yup, I’m 2 for 2 in gay-themed stories today so far, but this story is a far cry from mind-controlled slave on slave action in space, rather this is a new red band trailer for Jim Carrey’s I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS, which has nothing to do with the corporation.
Rather, the story is a more gay, more comedic version of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN as it’s also based on a true story, the life of outrageous con man and prison escapee Steven Jay Russell. It’s certainly Carrey’s most ambitious role in a long while, and if you look at the man’s recent film catalog, he really does need to go outside of his box and nab himself a hit. ETERNAL SUNSHINE was six years ago after all.
