On September 5th, Kevin Smith’s horror-suspense flick RED STATE hits On Demand, and the world will get to see the director’s sworn second-to-last film. (It has a limited theatrical run in October.) To prepare, a new red-band trailer has been cocked, loaded and fired onto the ‘net, and we’ve got it for your eyes below. There are a few spoiler-y moments to be found, but otherwise it’s a solid preview. That said, I must admit to liking the teaser a little more.
Red State begins by following three horny high-school boys who come across an online ad from an older woman looking for a gang bang. Boys being boys, they hit the road to satisfy their libidinal urges. But what begins as a fantasy takes a dark turn as they come face-to-face with a terrifying “holy” force with a fatal agenda.
The film stars Michael Angarano, Kerry Bishe, Nicholas Braun, Kyle Gallner, John Goodman, Melissa Leo, Michael Parks, Kevin Pollak and Stephen Root.
