Red One images feature Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans getting into the Christmas spirit

Red One images, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Prime Video

Now that Maria Carey has escaped her ice prison for the upcoming holiday, Prime Video is ready to treat good boys and girls to a gallery of Red One images featuring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. In addition to the photos, we’ve learned the film is in production, with J.K. Simmons and Bonnie Hunt recently joining the cast, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus, respectively.

The Red One images feature Johnson and Evans standing in a toy store side-by-side. Evans is dressed in stylish brown leather, while Johnson looks like he’s been rifling through Deadpool or Michael Jackson’s closet. Scrolling through the pics, you’ll find both stars laughing together during the photo shoot. Prime Video is betting big on Red One, with plans to turn the concept into a franchise. Joining Johnson and Evans for the holiday action film are Kiernan Shipka (Mad MenChilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lucy Liu (ElementaryCharlie’s Angels), Kristofer Hivju (The Thing, Game of Thrones), Nick Kroll (Big MouthSausage Party), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (Licorice PizzaIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Wesley Kimmel (The Book of Boba FettWandaVision).

Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) directs from a script by Hiram Garcia based on a story by Chris Morgan.

Are you excited to learn more about Red One when details finally reveal themselves? Will Johnson star as an angry elf, with Evans playing a Burgermeister Meisterburger-type villain? Probably not. Maybe Red One plays more like Die Hard in a department store? I could see Johnson saving Christmas from Evans for a holiday heist of epic proportions. However it shakes out, we’ll bring you the details when the time comes. I’m excited to learn more about this movie and hope it’s like Schwarzenegger’s Jingle All the Way after drinking an alarming amount of ZOA energy drinks.
