Red State hits VOD today; one-night-only screening in Canada planned

Just consider this a friendly reminder about a flick that has captivated us ever since its announcement: After waiting for what seems like forever, anyone with access to Video On Demand service, as well as iTunes, Amazon, Android, etc., can check out Kevin Smith’s RED STATE beginning today.

In addition, we bring interesting news for our Canadian readers: Phase 4 Films, in partnership with Cineplex Entertainment’s Front Row Centre Events, is pleased to announce an exclusive one night presentation of RED STATE on Thursday, SEPTEMBER 29th at 7:00 p.m. local time. The film will be shown exclusively at 37 Cineplex Entertainment theatres across Canada. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, September 2, over at Cineplex.com.

After receiving an online invitation for sex from a mysterious woman (Academy Award® winner Melissa Leo*) three teenaged boys head to the town of Cooper’s Dell. But instead of enjoying the night of their dreams, the teens are plunged into the nightmarish world of Abin Cooper (Michael Parks), a fundamentalist preacher with a deadly moral agenda.
