In her cute, blonde, initmitable way Reese Witherspoon is quietly becoming one of the most powerful women in Hollywood. A case in point is the deal she just locked for OUR FAMILY TROUBLE. It’s a genre pic about a mother fighting demons possessing her child in Witherspoon’s native Deep South.
Always good to see big name actresses doing genre work, but what’s really impressive is that she’s apparently set to pull down close to $30 million in salary and incentives. That’s a hellva lot of cheese, and would push her to number one in the female earnings bracket ahead of fellow southern girl Julia Roberts.
