Relive the 70s with this retro trailer for Shane Black’s The Nice Guys

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

THE NICE GUYS has offerred up some pretty cool marketing thus far, and the period flick just wouldn't be complete without its own retro trailer to fit the time period. Just in case you're not caught up, Shane Black's (IRON MAN 3, KISS KISS BANG BANG) latest is set in 1970s Los Angeles and follows a private eye (Gosling) and a hired leg-breaker (Crowe) who must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star.

There's no question that CIVIL WAR is going to dominate May, but I really hope people go out to see THE NICE GUYS in a month's time. For me, it looks like the perfect cool, summer film. Shane Black knows how to write some fun characters and even from the trailers, you can tell that Crowe and Gosling are a pretty terrific match.

THE NICE GUYS hits theaters on May 20, 2016.
