It seems Wentworth Miller’s little stay in our genre has just been extended! You see the actor’s latest flick is RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, which is coming at us on September 10th, but I’m not here today to talk about RESIDENT EVIL. Oh no. Mr. Miller has been sneaking around slapping his touch on a couple other genre projects in the works…
According to the guys over at Deadline, Miller (above) has been hard at work…. Not acting but writing! Apparently the actor, under the pseudonym Ted Foulke, has penned a couple scripts that’re currently making the rounds. The first project, titled STOKER, tells the story of an eccentric teen whose enigmatic and estranged uncle returns to the family after the death of the girl’s father. Carey Mulligan and Jodie Foster are already attached. He also penned UNCLE CHARLIE, a prequel to STOKER that explores another chapter in the history of an unusual family that has a knack for burying secrets, as well as bodies.
It seems Fox Searchlight are the frontrunners in scoring the pair of scripts though there are others showing interest. How about that, huh? Wentworth Miller a worthy genre writer? We shall see!
