Resident Evil reboot film gets official release date

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Look, I like the first Resident Evil movie. I won't claim it was good per se…but I liked it. Not so much the sequels (though even the second one with Nemesis had its dumb-fun moments). So, with that said, I'm actually kinda excited about the new Resident Evil movie coming out, as it's rumored to be a retelling of the first two games, and be much more faithful than the Paul W.S. Anderson/Milla Jovovich joints (which got more and more "RE-in-name-only" as the series went on).

Also looks like I won't have to wait much longer, as it's going to coming out later this year on September 3rd!

Meanwhile the new Resident Evil is directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) and stars Kaya Scodelario (Crawl) as Claire Redfield alongside Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell (Upload) as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap) as Leon S. Kennedy, Neal McDonough (Yellowstone) as William Birkin, and Donal Logue (Silent Night, “Gotham”) as Chief Irons.

So what do you guys think? Looking forward to the reboot? Either way, sound off below!
