Legendary Pictures’ GODZILLA has already begun filming under the direction of Gareth Edwards and today we have some news on the most recent addition to the ever-growing cast list.
Variety is reporting that SUPER 8 and EVENT HORIZON actor Richard T. Jones has joined the fight to take on the big G, joining the previously announced Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Juliette Binoche and Ken Watanabe. Jones is rumored to be playing a military figure.
Edwards will be directing from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham. Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Mary Parent and Brian Rogers. Alex Garcia and Patricia Whitcher are serving as executive producers alongside Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira. GODZILLA is slated for a May 16, 2014 release!
