RIP Michael Jackson

JoBloJoBlo

Michael Jackson As most of you have no doubt heard, Michael Jackson, the one and only King of Pop, has died. The circumstances of his death are, at this point, somewhat unclear but it seems he started with respiratory distress while at his home in Los Angeles. Paramedics were immediately called and administered CPR but he remained in a coma until he arrived at UCLA Medical Center. He was in critical condition and soon succumbed to a cardiac arrest. He was 50.

It’s hard to adequately describe Jackson’s profound impact on the music world. Like The Beatles or Elvis Presley, Jackson’s music set a new standard in pop that hasn’t even been matched to this day and, in so doing, truly changed the world. His music will resonate for as long as music exits. And though the latter part of his life was, unfortunately, mired with lawsuits, bizarre behavior, allegations of impropriety and pedophilia and an inexplicable facial transformation, he will no doubt be remembered for being the indisputable King of Pop. It’s even sadder to think he was looking to reform his image by mounting a worldwide comeback tour.

We lost one of the last remaining music legends today. Feel free to post your thoughts below.
