R.L. Stine’s Just Beyond cast adds Mckenna Grace, Lexi Underwood

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As we reported last month, Disney+ is bringing us a horror-comedy anthology based on R.L. Stine's Just Beyond graphic novels, with Seth Grahame-Smith writing and serving as showrunner and The Amazing Spider-Man's Marc Webb directing the first two episodes. Now we know who's starring in Webb's episodes.

Fourteen-year-old actress Mckenna Grace, whose credits include The Haunting of Hill House, Annabelle Comes Home, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Captain Marvel, takes the lead in one episode being directed by Webb.

The lead in Webb's other episode is seventeen-year-old Lexi Underwood, who recently appeared in Hulu's Little Fires Everywhere, lent her voice to The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special, and has her own production company, Ultimate Dreamer Productions.

The first season of Just Beyond is set to consist of eight standalone episodes that will tell

astonishing and thought-provoking stories of a reality just beyond the one we know. Each episode introduces viewers to a new cast of characters who must go on a surprising journey of self-discovery in a supernatural world of witches, aliens, ghosts and parallel universes.

Nasim Pedrad of Cooties, Scream Queens, and Saturday Night Live has signed on to guest star on the show.

Grahame-Smith and Webb are executive producing Just Beyond with David Katzenberg, Aaron Schmidt, David Walpert, Ross Richie, Stephen Christy, and Mark Ambrose. Stine serves as co-executive producer. The show is being produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television studios.
