You guys remember last month, when I told you all about a little genre flick called INKUBUS? The film comes from director Glenn Ciano and stars genre legend Robert Englund. Ringing any bells? Well let me refresh your memory.
INKUBUS is the story of a skeleton crew working the final shift at a soon-to-be demolished police station. The night takes a gruesome turn when the demon Inkubus calmly walks into the station holding a severed head and begins to confess a litany of crimes, some dating back to the Middle Ages.
The movie was filming in Rhode Island and also stars William Forsythe, Joey Fatone, Jonathan Silverman, Mike Cerrone and Michelle Ray Smith (below). If you can look past Fatone that’s actually a pretty decent cast for a small flick like INKUBUS. So now that we’re all caught up, let’s get into today’s update.
It’s not much, but it was just announced that INKUBUS had wrapped filming and to celebrate the official website for the film has gone live! So what’re you waiting for? Check that shite out now right over HERE! Over at the official site you won’t find much yet, just a banner for the flick, seen above, along with the chance to sign up for email updates. It does suggest returning to the site to ‘see the story unfold… while you can.’ Ohh so ominous!
In all seriousness, INKUBUS is actually looking pretty damn cool. I mean, you can’t really go wrong with Robert Englund now can you? Producer Chad A. Verdi, of Verdi Corrente Productions, had the following to say in the press release: “VCP has provided all funding for the development and filming of ‘Inkubus.’ We have an excellent script written by Carl Dupré and Glenn Ciano, and we are excited to get started on the first installment of this budding franchise.”
Franchise huh? Looks like Verid and company have big plans for INKUBUS. Producer Michael Corrente adds: “I was pleasantly surprised at how the project came to fruition: This film comes out of a screenwriting competition I started two years ago in Providence. To watch this project evolve into a film with this cast and story is amazing.”
