The day after Halloween was when we first alerted you to HELLIONS, a Halloween-themed treat from PONTYPOOL director Bruce McDonald. The film recently started production in Toronto, and has just added a genre fav to the cast: Robert Patrick.

First, let’s catch you up on the plot:

The story follows a pregnant teen, played by Chloe Rose (Degrassi: The Next Generation), who must survive a Halloween night from Hell when three malevolent trick-or-treaters come knocking.

Also in the cast are Rossif Sutherland, Luke Bilyk, and Rachel Wilson.

Patrick will play Corman, a tough-as-nails cop who comes to the aid of the harassed teenager. The actor, best known for his turns in TERMINATOR 2 and “The X-Files”, has been keeping busy of late, enjoying a recurring role on HBO’s “True Blood” and recently joining Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk Till Dawn” television show.
