This year’s Rock and Shock show takes place in Worcester, MA from October 8th to the 9th, and along with the shock-rock bands (Gwar, The Deadites) and horror guests in attendance (George Romero and Sid Haig), the Shocker Toys crew will join in the fun.
Shocker Toys will be bringing a few custom shockinis they’ve concocted, including something for Troma fans. That’s right, Lloyd Kaufman fans. The Toxic Avenger shockini will be there. For those of you asking ‘What the hell is a shockini?’, allow me to explain. A shockini is a mult-jointed figure that’s pretty damn posable. Kung-fu poses ensue.
Also at the show will be The Rock and Shock Skeleton, which will come sporting the Rock and Shock logo with cool accessories and a numbered slip of authenticity, as well as a base and stickers. The Rock and Shock exclusive will only be available in a very limited supply for $10.00 and limited to 80pcs. You can buy them at the Shocker Toys booth and through the Rock and Shock show.
For kit bashing fans (kind of like a do-it-yourself custom figure), Shocker Toys will be showing how to customize and kit bash Shockinis for new fans. In addition to showing and selling the entire Shockini product lineup, they’ll also have on display fans’ customized Shockinis.
While I’m not the biggest fan of these types of figures (realism is kind of hard to reproduce), there are those who go crazy over this type of stuff.
