Update: Fox has apparently already given PREDATORS a July 7th, 2010 release date.
Prolific jack-of-all-trades filmmaker Robert Rodriguez recently spilled the beans on his upcoming slate at a press conference at his Troublemaker Studios and the folks at the IESB were on hand to gather the scoopage. He told the assembled crowd: “I’m going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called Nervewrackers, a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called Sin City 2 and The Jetsons.” Wow, a lot of stuff revealed in a very short statement. First of all, MACHETE is a go, which is awesome. Second, he’s still attached to SIN CITY 2 which is double awesome. And third, he’s pluralizing his PREDATOR reboot? Is this necessary? One bad ass Predator isn’t enough? Let’s just hope he gets started on any one of these sometime soon.
