Eduardo Sanchez’s (THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT) new horror flick ALTERED, previously titled PROBED, is getting A+ genre respect from Universal. It was announced in January on the Haxan Films website that they would shoot the flick at Universal Studios in Orlando. Now Universal is letting Rogue Pictures, the genre arm of Universal specialty unit Focus Features, handle the worldwide distribution rights.
The cast for the flick has also been announced, and includes Adam Kaufman, Catherine Mangan, Brad William Henke, Mike Williams, Paul McCarthy Boyington and James Gammon. The best description of the story itself comes from our friends over at Blairwitch.de:
Fifteen years ago, five men were abducted by aliens. Only four returned. Now, these same men have managed to capture one of the creatures that killed their friend and ruined their lives.
It’s time for payback.
