When a movie’s as successful as DISTURBIA, there’s bound to be some knock offs to (hopefully) cash in and make some easy bucks. Surprisingly enough, we weren’t bombarded with DISTURBIA-alikes since it was released last year… but Rogue Pictures is looking to change all that.
According to Variety, Rogue has hired writer Robert Adetuyi, the same guy who wrote STOMP THE YARD and STOMP THE YARD 2, to write an untitled teen thriller in the vein of DISTURBIA.
No other details have been revealed at this point, mostly becuase it hasn’t been written yet and no one really knows what the movie will be about–actually, that’s a lie. Someone out there knows what the flick’s about they’re just keeping it hush-hush for the time being. Smart move, I guess.
Anyway, other than it being a thriller like DISTURBIA we have nothing to really get excited for–could be cool, could be crap, we’ll just have to wait and see. I will say that DISTURBIA surprised the hell out of me, as it was way more entertaining than I thought it was going to be, so maybe this flick will be just as big of a surprise…
