*UPDATE* Thanks to
MARCO from Germany for writing in with the translations from the trailer.
Here’s the translation, starting with the phrases, then the e-mail seen in the trailer:
A soul so sick…
A crime so unimaginable…
When you enter his world…
He will never let you go…
Some stories should never have been told.
“I’m looking for a willing victim (male 21-40) to butcher and to eat. Only serious responses.”
Over at the official site for ROHTENBURG, aka BUTTERFLY: A GRIMM LOVE STORY, the trailer for the Martin Weisz-directed thriller starring Keri Russell, Thomas Kretschmann and Thomas Huber is up, and damn it looks creepy! The trailer loads up as soon as you enter the site, so just be sure you have your trailer popcorn ready.
As for the rest of the site, other than the cool flash logo on the side of the page, there’s not much else. Plus it’s in German, so reading the phrases in the trailer are next to impossible for this guy. If someone who can do so, send us a translated summary of what’s there, so we can sleep easy tonight (well, for those of us who sleep, that is).
In Germany, as graduate student Katie Armstrong (Russell) researches cannibal killer Oliver Hagen (Kretschmann) for her thesis, she becomes obsessed with her subject, and ultimately plunges into a lifestyle similar to Hagen’s and the thousands of people like him. German schmoes can look for the film to hit theatres over there March 9th.
