Roll call trailer for The Expendables 3 introduces you to the cast!

The boys are back!

A few days ago we revealed 4 character posters for THE EXPENDABLES 3 and today we have a new "roll call" trailer to get you warmed up for the late summer actioner. The flick stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Wesley Snipes, Kelsey Grammer, Robert Davi, and Randy Couture, as well as the "young" Expendables, including Kellan Lutz, Glen Powell, Victor Ortiz, and MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. Director Patrick Hughes (RED HILL) is at the helm this time and judging by this trailer it looks like a much more vibrant film with a cleaner, more cinematic look, which I think is a great step forward for the franchise.

Meet the cast:

Here's the synopsis:

Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables' most personal battle yet.

It's really great to see Snipes, Ford, and Gibson in this, not to mention the returning guys. Snipes and Gibson have had a low profile for a while and it's really cool to see them back in action where they belong. Both stars look great and ready to play ball again and they're a welcome addition to the team in my book. We'll have much more on THE EXPENDABLES in a few weeks when we debut our set visit coverage starting on April 16th, so make sure to come back for that.
