Yesterday my compadre in crime Pat dropped the unfortunate news that George Romero will not partake in the MASTERS OF HORROR series because of unknown scheduling conflicts. Does that mean creative differences, alien abduction, or just plain old scheduling conflicts? Nobody really knows.
Or do they?????
One of our awesome Arrow fans dropped me a line that he caught a Romero interview at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and the man mentioned that MOH probably wouldn’t work out because of his European LAND OF THE DEAD promo schedule. Romero also let slip that his next project could possibly be either an adaptation of Stephen King’s THE GIRL WHO LOVED TOM GORDON or FROM A BUICK 8.
So I guess sometimes a scheduling conflict is indeed just that. Sucks to lose Romero from MOH, but the better that LOTD does the better the chances we get another one, so I’m willing to make the sacrifice!
