Mick Garris’ adaptation of Stephen King’s DESPERATION is coming to ABC for all horror lovers everywhere in May. Today SciFi Wire snagged a small chat with Ron Pearlman about his character, Collie Entragian, that should have fans seething with glee. Here’s a little taste:

“There’s no censoring. There’s no value judgment to this guy’s bloodlust. And he’s smart. Because he’s a Stephen King character, his turn of a phrase and his theatrical point of view is really, really smart. So there’s an added perverseness to all of it that make it incredibly compelling to watch, … I hope. I’m just giving you the sense I had of him from reading the script and playing the role.”

Yum. You can click here to read the rest of the interview, which includes comments from Mick Garris about the long road to production for the project. Just be forewarned that it contains a minor spoiler towards the beginning of the article.
