You guys ever see THE HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK? The 1980 exploitation flick from director Ruggero Deodato (CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST) was part of the UK’s infamous “video nasties” list. Even the current DVD of the controversial film available across the pond remains cut. In case you’re not familiar with it, here’s the plot:
Two lowlife punks invite themselves to a party at a posh villa and after being taunted by their snobbish hosts, hold everybody hostage and subject them to various torture and mayhem.
UK production company North Bank Entertainment is developing a sequel to the film. Not only is Deodato returning to direct the follow-up, but actor Giovanni Lombardo Radice (CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD) will also reprise his role as the scumbag Ricky.
Andrew Jones penned the screenplay for THE HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK PART II, based on a story concocted by Deodato and Racide themselves. Ian Grey and Andrew Jones are producing for North Bank. The sequel is only in the early stages of pre-production, but we will keep you updated for sure.
