The upcoming high-octane thriller Runner strips the modern race-against-the-clock action movie down to pure, relentless momentum. Directed by seasoned stunt-and-action veteran Scott Waugh (Act of Valor, Need for Speed), the film places Reacher powerhouse Alan Ritchson at the center of a claustrophobic, three-hour deadline where every missed second and stray bullet carries fatal consequences. Runner follows Hank Malone (Ritchson), an elite former soldier turned high-stakes courier tasked with a vital humanitarian run: transporting a life-saving donor organ across hostile territory to save a critically ill seven-year-old girl. The routine transport violently derails when a ruthless cartel syndicate—commanded by the menacing Damian Zaldívar (Rodrigo Santoro)—sets out to hijack the cargo for the black market. Thrust along for the ride is Ben Bishop (Owen Wilson), an out-of-his-depth medical courier who must form an uneasy alliance with Hank as they navigate a brutal gauntlet of ambushes, crossfires, and betrayals.
