Russian horror Phobos

A friend of mine made a good point regarding horror flicks these days: all you need is a good reason to get a lot of people closed off in a large surrounding and then just start offing them one by one. I use this reasoning because I’ve just stumbled across a new genre offering that appears to be invoking the same idea. It’s called PHOBOS and it’s coming from Russia. Since foreign horror usually bodes well over here in the U.S., I’m gonna prop this bad boy. Here’s the plot:

A group of 20-somethings are invited to the opening night party for a trendy new nightclub, housed in a huge disused underground bomb shelter. As the last of the revelers arrives, the huge blast door slams shut, blocking ALL communication with the outside world. Then total darkness envelops them…

There you have it. Sound like a fun time? By that pic from the flick below, it looks like the shit hits the fan pretty hard. PHOBOS was directed by Oleg Assadulin. I don’t have any word yet on the cast, but I’ll keep my eyes open on which 20-somethings are invited to this particular party.
