Well, this looks weird. THE VOICES, as you may know, stars Ryan Reynolds as a man with a peculiar problem: his cat Mr. Whiskers tells him to decapitate women. More than that, the heads he keeps end up talking to him too. It’s a good thing his dog Bosco, who also talks, is there to keep him slightly grounded in reality.
Seriously, that’s the deal with THE VOICES, as you’ll see in the trailer below. The film is coming out next month with small fanfare, but by the looks of it a cult following isn’t out of the question.
THE VOICES is a genre-bending film which centers around Jerry, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden turn, we follow Jerry’s perspective as his talking pets, a sinister cat and benevolent dog, lead him down a fantastical, murderous path.
Also starring Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton and Jacki Weaver, THE VOICES hits theaters and VOD on February 6th.
