Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, who previously worked together on the upcoming FREE GUY, will have their new time-travel adventure thriller shifting from Paramount Pictures to Netflix.

The film, once-titled OUR NAME IS ADAM, will begin production in November in Vancouver. Reynolds will star in the film as a man who must travel back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together, they encounter their late father, who is now the same age as Reynolds' character. The project is written by Jonathan Tropper and was set up at Paramount since 2012 and briefly had Tom Cruise attached.

Although the project was at Paramount, Skydance was driving the overall development and they wanted to capitalize on the success of its relationship Netflix which resulted in the recent critical and viewership success of THE OLD GUARD and last year's blockbuster, 6 UNDERGROUND, which also featured Reynolds. Both movies were revealed this week to be on the streamer's 10 most-watched movies and Skydance is hoping to add this latest project to the list.

FREE GUY, the previous union between Reynolds and Levy, was set to open on July 4 but was pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The videogame action-comedy will now tentatively hit screens on December 11, 2020.
